Overdue rental car returned without payment

Birmingham police officers were called to a local car rental business, believed to be Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 2855 W. Maple Road, on Monday, August 12, around noon for a car that had not been returned in over a month.

A police report was made when a 28-year-old Oak Park suspect failed to return a rental vehicle. The suspect had the car for nearly a month and had since returned it. However, the car rental company said since then the suspect has ignored contact from the rental agency to settle their account.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
