Package taken from front porch

A porch poacher struck a Birmingham home on the 1500 block of Shipman Boulevard around 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.

The victim reported that an item they had ordered online had been delivered on July 8, but the package was missing from the residence. A report of the incident wasn’t filed with police until Sunday, July 16.

Birmingham police indicate there have not been other similar reports in the area, but an investigation is underway.
