Phone stolen after man put phone down

A man from Memphis made a mistake by setting his phone down on the 1000 block of Haynes Street in Birmingham where it was stolen shortly after.

According to the man, he set the phone down on Monday, March 25, around 4 p.m. while he was working. When he came back minutes later, the phone was missing and wasn’t able to be tracked since it had been turned off.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
