Birmingham police are currently investigating a reported home invasion that took place the afternoon of Tuesday, January 6, at a home in the 400 block of Fairfax Avenue.

According to the report, the homeowner claims she found the backyard gate open, footprints in the snow and the door from her backyard to her garage open, which officers later confirmed had been kicked in. They also reported seeing footprints throughout the home, but the homeowner wasn’t able to confirm if anything had been stolen.
