An Illinois man was issued a disorderly conduct ticket on Sunday, August 15, after allegedly skipping out on a restaurant bill in downtown Birmingham and getting into an argument with some kids, police said.

Birmingham police responded about 3:18 p.m. to the Speedway gas station, 34750 Woodward, for a call of a man who left 220 Merrill restaurant without paying his bill. Witnesses told police that the man then got into a confrontation with some male juveniles near Brooklyn Pizza,111 Henrietta Street.
