Bloomfield Township Police were dispatched on Thursday, June 4, to Target located at 2400 S. Telegraph Road for a retail fraud that just occurred.

An unknown white male suspect entered the store and selected $239.97 worth of assorted Lego sets and a carton of ice cream, according to the police report.

The suspect proceeded to the self-checkout and paid for the ice cream using a gift card, but failed to scan or pay for the Lego sets.

The suspect was leaving the store when he was confronted by Target staff. The suspect fled the store with the ice cream, leaving the Lego sets behind.

The case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
