On Monday, December 30, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an officer returned a set of lost car keys to the vehicle’s registered address in the 200 block of Chester Street but police suspicion ultimately led to arrest of a man.

When police arrived at the door, it was answered by a man who was not the vehicle’s owner and behaved suspiciously.

After returning the keys, police ran a background check on the 43-year-old man and discovered a felony warrant for his arrest in Wayne County. The man was arrested and transferred to the custody of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
