Porch package thieves' haul valued at $1,746

A Birmingham resident who was out of town returned on Wednesday, January 5, to discover two items stolen from her porch in the 800 block of Pierce Street.

Birmingham police said the victim contacted authorities about 5:24 p.m. on January 5 and said two packages had been stolen from her porch while out of town. She told police delivery notifications were given for both packages.

The loss was valued at $1,746.

Birmingham police are investigating.
