Porch pirate takes $530 of Amazon packages

A porch pirate took $530 worth of Amazon goods from a 34-year-old Birmingham male victim in the 700 block of S. Glenhurst Drive.


Birmingham police say the victim appeared in the police department lobby on Sunday, August 4, to report the theft. The victim reported he was able to see in the delivery app that the packages were delivered but they were not on his front porch.


Police said an investigation is ongoing.
