Porch poacher hits Birmingham home

A college-aged male was seen stealing a package from the front porch of a home in the 800 block of Mohegan Street in Birmingham around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 29, before speeding off.

According to witnesses, the man was seen wearing work-out clothes and a medical face mask. He reportedly stopped his car in front of the house, ran and grabbed the package from the porch and sped away with it.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
