Resident reports stolen lawn equipment

A resident of the 1400 block of South Bates in Birmingham reported that his lawn mower and edger were stolen.


An officer was dispatched around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, to start the investigation. It was determined that the homeowner had rinsed the equipment and left them to dry on the sidewalk the previous evening.


Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
