Restaurant parking argument leads to assault

A male, along with his female companion, pulled a gun on a parking attendant after they pulled into a restaurant parking lot and were told they couldn't park there on Saturday, August 17, in the 3000 block of Woodward in downtown Birmingham.

Officers were dispatched to the scene around 8 p.m. and were told by the 48-year-old Bruce Township victim that the two individuals couldn’t park there. He said the the suspects got into a verbal argument with him. The male suspect then pulled a gun, pointing it at the victim while continuing to yell at him. The suspect then fled the scene.

Birmingham police report the investigation is ongoing.
