Road construction at two city intersections

The city of Birmingham announced two intersections will begin construction on pedestrian crossing improvements and new traffic signals, beginning Wednesday, March 6.

The work will take place at the intersections of Woodward and Brown and Woodward and Forest. The construction will be done by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

This work will require daily single lane closures along northbound and southbound Woodward. However, traffic on Woodward will be maintained in both directions for the duration of the project.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be complete by the end of April.
