Rowdy man arrested for disturbing the peace

A large group of people outside a Birmingham restaurant at 1 a.m. on Sunday, October 22, ultimately led to the arrest of a man from Rochester Hills for disturbing the peace.

Birmingham police report that they were called to break up a loud group outside of a restaurant on the 200 block of S. Old Woodward. When they tried to break up the group, a man from Rochester Hills reportedly behaved aggressively and had to be restrained by a police officer.

Allegedly, the man pushed the officer “halfway across S. Old Woodward Avenue,” according to police, to get back to the group, which led to his arrest. He was charged with disturbing the peace.
