Same suspect sought in two Lowe’s incidents

The Bloomfield Township Police Department was contacted by a representative of Lowe’s, located at 1801 South Telegraph Road, on Monday, October 12, regarding two separate retail frauds with the same suspect.
According to the police report, on August 24 the suspect, described as a heavy-set white male, entered the store, selected a DeWalt shop vacuum, valued at $179, and went to the return desk in attempt to obtain a fraudulent return. The suspect was unable to provide a receipt and the return was denied.
The suspect then left the store with the vacuum without paying for it.
On Sturday, October 10, the same suspect entered the store and selected a DeWalt inflator, valued at $169, and again attempted to obtain a fraudulent return for it. The return was denied as the suspect was unable to provide a receipt.
The suspect took the inflator and left the store without paying for it.
In both instances, the suspect fled from the store in a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck, police said.
This case is currently under investigation by the Bloomfield Township Police Department’s Detective Bureau. Anyone with information regarding the suspect is urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
