Nearly $7,500 worth of items were reportedly stolen from the trunk of a Northville resident's car while he was at a Birmingham restaurant on Thursday, September 25, at the 300 block of N. Old Woodard.

The man reported the theft to Birmingham police five days later on September 30, telling officers he wasn’t sure whether he had locked his car before entering the restaurant.

Birmingham police reported that there was not any damage to the car windows or broken glass near the car, and an investigation is ongoing.
