Shoplifters caught, leave ahead of police arrival

Loss prevention officials at the Target store on S. Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township were able to stop two women attempting to shoplift but then the suspects let the store before police could arrive.
On Sunday January 4, the Bloomfield Township Police Department was dispatched to Target, for a retail fraud that just occurred. Loss prevention officials reported that at approximately 4:15 p.m. two females entered the store, selected and concealed several items.
The females left the store without paying for the merchandise, but were stopped by loss prevention officials. The females willingly went to the loss prevention office, admitted to stealing, and turned over the stolen merchandise worth $143, including cookies, socks, underwear and other items, according t the police report.
The females reportedly left the store prior to arrival of police..
