A 40-year-old female resident of the 100 block of Millrace came to the police department to report on Saturday, July 5, that an unknown vehicle drove into the closed garage door of her home at approximately 2 a.m.

Police identified the suspect vehicle as belonging to a 38-year-old Southfield woman, who admitted visiting her brother in the area that evening but denied hitting anything with her car.

Officers went to her home and saw front-end damage on her vehicle consistent with hitting a garage door. The suspect was issued a citation for failing to stop at the scene of a property damage accident.
