Speeding driver arrested on warrant

While patrolling westbound Maple Road in Birmingham in the early hours of Wednesday, June 26, a Birmingham police officer arrested a driver that had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the West Bloomfield Police Department.

The Birmingham officer initially pulled the driver over for speeding near Peabody Street, but when the officer checked the driver’s ID, he discovered the warrant. West Bloomfield police requested the driver be taken into custody, so Birmingham police arrested him, issued a speeding citation and transferred him to West Bloomfield police.
