Steering wheel columns stolen from local Chevys

Two separate Chevrolet Malibus in Bloomfield Township had the steering wheel columns stolen last week after the driver-side windows had been smashed on each vehicle.

Bloomfield Township Police took the two reports on Tuesday, June 27, and Wednesday, June 28, from the 4000 block of Maple Road and 1600 block of Bloomfield Place.

Similar thefts from Chevrolet Malibus have been reported from other agencies in metro Detroit recently.

The Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit is currently investigating these two cases.
