A car belonging to a Birmingham woman, traveling out of the country at the time, was found totaled with the keys inside on Saturday, August 16, by Oak Park police.

The woman’s 19-year-old son, who was at the home on the 1800 block of Webster when Birmingham police went to talk to the woman, was reportedly surprised when he was told the car was missing, saying he saw it in the driveway the night before.

According to the police report, no one else has permission to drive the car, and the son does not drive at all.

Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
