Stolen cards used in purchase after wallet taken

Stolen credit cards were reportedly used by a thief to make fake charges after a Birmingham resident’s wallet was stolen on Monday, May 20, Birmingham police said.

The police report stated that a resident was shopping at an unidentified grocery store near the police station when her wallet was taken from her purse, and her credit cards were then fraudulently used.

Birmingham police said they are investigating the theft.
