Stolen credit cards linked to local burglary

Bloomfield Township police are asking for help identifying a man and woman using a credit card stolen from a fire-damaged home in the 5000 block of Shadow Lane.

Officers responded to the report of a home invasion in the 5000 block of Shadow Lane in Bloomfield Township, where a fire had previously damaged the house. The homeowner said someone had broken into the boarded-up and unoccupied home and taken some credit cards.

Investigators learned the cards were later used at Home Depot in Detroit. They are now asking for the public’s help in identifying a man and woman who were caught on camera at the store.

The man was described as a white male, with a thin build wearing a tan jacket and gray hooded sweatshirt. The woman was a white female with dark hair and a gray winter coat. Another female was observed with the male. She was wearing a white knit hat and black leather jacket.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
