Store thief fills up cooler with items and exits

Bloomfield Township police on Sunday, January 11, at approximately 1:45 p.m., were dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at 2105 S. Telegraph Road, for a retail fraud that just occurred.

An unknown black male was seen entering the store at 1:28 p.m., and he selected a black Yeti cooler bag and then placed a blue North Face jacket and multiple other items inside the cooler.

The male then selected a beige and white varsity jacket and put it on.

The unknown male exited the store through the emergency exit doors and left the area. Officers scoured the area, but were unable to locate him.

The case was assigned to the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit and is currently under investigation.
