Suspect admits to grocery store theft

A suspect who stole nearly $73 from Hollywood Market in Bloomfield Township admitted to stealing grocery items to police on Saturday, July 29.


Loss prevention personnel for the market, located at 1525 S. Opdyke Road, was outside the store with the female suspect when police arrived.


Police arrested her before taking her back to the station. She was then issued a misdemeanor citation for retail third degree, and will go before the 48th District Court at a later date.
