Suspect arrested after assaulting multiple women

While walking around the 200 block of S. Old Woodward at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, a witness called Birmingham police after seeing a man hit multiple women in the face and then flee the scene.

According to the witness’s report, the suspect fled from the scene in an SUV which was later stopped by officers. The suspect, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and the driver were reportedly both uncooperative with the officers

Birmingham police said the suspect was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.
