A suspect was arrested by Bloomfield Township police on Thursday, February 5, for retail theft, destruction of property and possession of narcotic equipment at an urgent care facility on Woodward Avenue.
The police department said officers responded to a suspicious circumstance in the 42000 block of Woodward after an urgent care facility reported that a male came into the business to warm up and began breaking items in the lobby and the bathroom of the facility, including putting a hole in the wall.
As officers responded to the urgent care they located the suspect, a 30-year-old Black male from Detroit. The male suspect was placed under arrest for malicious destruction of property. During a search of his person, officers located $158.99 worth of stolen merchandise from CVS, a neighboring business to the urgent care. Officers also located narcotic paraphernalia.
The suspect was arrested and the report of the incident was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office to review for charges. The suspect was released pending charges, police said.
