A suspect was arrested at a Birmingham bus stop on the southeast corner of Maple and Woodward on Sunday, April 27, after admitting to stealing numerous items, including alcohol, from the nearby Kroger grocery store.

The store manager reported the theft to police, providing a description that officers stated they used to identify the man at the bus stop. The suspect, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, admitted to stealing six bottles of alcohol, along with other items which police found in a bag at the bus stop.

He was ultimately arrested and transferred to the custody of Noble County, Indiana police due to several active warrants for his arrest.
