Two of three work vehicles parked on the 2000 block of E. Maple Road the morning of Monday, January 19, were broken into and about $25,000 worth of tools were stolen while the owners were inside a nearby building working.

The victims told Birmingham police officers that they parked their trucks to go inside, and later one of them came to grab an item from a car. They said that two of the vans had their passenger side windows broken and equipment missing from the car.

Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
