Target theft suspect arrested, arraigned in court

Bloomfield Township police on Saturday, May 2, at approximately 9 a.m. were called to Target at 2400 S. Telegraph Road where they made an arrest for theft of store merchandise valued at $1,437.
According to the police report, officers arrived at the store as the retail fraud had just occurred. It was reported that a male suspect was inside an elevator with unpaid merchandise, including luggage, wine and several Lego sets.
Officers report that they waited by the elevator doors and stopped the suspect, matching the description given, as he exited the elevator. The suspect had a shopping cart full of luggage, wine and several Lego sets.
The suspect, identified as Jesse Love, a 28-year-old Black male, was placed under arrest.
On May 3 the Bloomfield Township Police Department Investigations Unit received a one-count felony Retail Fraud first degree warrant for Love who was arraigned and was given a $25,000, 10 percent bond. Love has two future court dates on May 11 and May 18.
