Teen arrested for punching younger boys in park

After a fight broke out in Shain Park in downtown Birmingham on Friday, June 28, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with assault by Birmingham police for knocking down two 13-year-olds and punching one of them.


The report filed with Birmingham police states officers were called to Shain Park after two groups of teens between the ages of 13 and 16 were physically fighting after a verbal confrontation.


According to the police report, the fighting didn’t begin until one of the 16-year-old's knocked down the two 13-year-olds.
