Teen arrested for stealing clothing worth $180

An officer conducting surveillance around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, in the 100 block of South Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham confirmed that a 16-year-old male from Detroit had stolen multiple clothing items valued over $180.


Birmingham police said there had been numerous reports of retail fraud at the location.


The suspect was arrested and charged with retail theft.
