Teen beaten up by man from Bloomfield Hills

Police were called to the 300 block of North Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham on Monday, August 12, at 9 p.m. for a fight in progress.


Witnesses identified a 23-year-old suspect from Bloomfield Hills assaulting a juvenile, also from Bloomfield Hills. According to police, the suspect and victim were not acquainted with each other before the incident. Police did not reveal the cause of the assault, or if either individual was injured.


An investigation is ongoing.
