Teen being investigated in liquor theft

An 18-year-old from Warren is being investigated by Birmingham police after allegedly stealing a bottle of liquor from a city gas station on the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue on Saturday, August 9.

Birmingham police report that witnesses saw the young man acting strangely near the liquor display, then saw him take a bottle and leave without paying. Using the witness’ description, police identified the teen as a suspect in a retail fraud case in Ann Arbor.

Birmingham police says the investigation is ongoing.
