Teen groups’ fight result of previous altercation

A fight between two groups of male teens in the 100 block of North Old Woodward on Sunday, July 28, in downtown Birmingham was determined by police to be a response to a previous brawl earlier this summer.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Old Woodward around 5 p.m., where they discovered a juvenile fight had broken out between two groups of males. When police arrived, both groups of juveniles had fled.

Birmingham police officers made contact with some of the individuals and later learned the altercation was a response to a previous altercation a few months before.

Police reported that none of the parties involved were injured.
