Teen injured in bathroom brawl at restaurant

Several teenagers were reportedly involved in a fight inside the bathroom of a Birmingham restaurant, located at the 100 block of S. Old Woodward, the night of Saturday, June 20, leaving a 17-year-old from Farmington Hills with multiple injuries. 

Birmingham police reported that the teen claimed he was assaulted over talking to two girls outside the restaurant. He said that the 16-year-old suspect, along with a group of other teenagers, approached him as he was talking to the girls, telling the victim he would box him.

The police report indicates that the group went into the restaurant bathroom to fight, but the victim said he was assaulted by the 16-year-old along with five other teenagers. The Birmingham Fire Department treated his injuries and police reported an investigation is underway.
