The father of a 13-year-old Birmingham resident living in the 2000 block of West Lincoln Street in Birmingham filed an assault report on Saturday, September 7, at 9 p.m.

He stated that his son was recently at a football game when the suspect, another juvenile of the same approximate age, approached the victim and assaulted him. Witnesses reported that the suspect said he was going to “jump” the victim prior to the assault.

The motive for the assault is unclear and an investigation is ongoing.
