Thief breaks into Mercedes dealership

A thief made off with a fog light and some personal items on Tuesday, June 1, after breaking into the storage area of the Mercedes of Bloomfield dealership at 36600 Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Township.

Police said the service manger at the dealership reported to them that a person entered the rear storage lot and took a fog light off of a 2013 Mercedes ML. The person then entered an unlocked 2007 Mercedes and rummaged through that vehicle. The owner of the second vehicle was contacted and it was determined a gold chain, Rolex watch and $150 in cash were taken from the vehicle.

Investigators are reviewing video from the dealership’s security cameras. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
