Thief caught after CVS, Nino Salvaggio thefts

Bloomfield Township police arrested a suspect who had stolen items from the CVS Pharmacy at Telegraph Road and Maple Road, as well as from gourmet grocer Nino Salvaggio, on Tuesday, July 18.

The suspect – who has multiple outstanding warrants – had taken a container of Tide laundry detergent and a Bluetooth speaker before going to Nino Salvaggio, 6592 Telegraph Road, where he exited with nearly $50 worth of stolen alcohol.

Police were able to locate the suspect in the plaza’s parking lot after being given a thorough description. He was then arrested and taken to the Bloomfield Township Police Department.

The case was then turned over to the Bloomfield Township investigative division, where the detective is actively seeking a warrant for retail fraud second degree.
