Thieves target cars at Bloomfield Township gyms

Bloomfield Township police are investigating a spate of thefts that occurred on the evening of Monday, January 23, at two gym and fitness businesses on Telegraph Road.


Police said at least one vehicle was broken into while parked at Lifetime Fitness, 4106 Telegraph Road, with two others entered at Planet Fitness, 6650 Telegraph Road. In all three cases, a window of the vehicle was smashed out and personal belongings were taken.


Police said the thefts occurred between 7:30 and 9 p.m. The incidents are under investigation.


Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
