Thousands stolen from Dick’s Sporting Goods

Three men were arrested on Saturday, August 17, after stealing over $2,700 in clothing from Dick’s Sporting Goods at 2105 S. Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township.

The three men were found driving on Telegraph Road near Maple Road when police initiated a traffic stop, during which time they found 55 pieces of clothing from Dick’s worth $2,755 inside the black Nissan.

Prior to the arrest, Bloomfield Township police were called to the store around 3:30 p.m. They were informed that two Black men had entered the store before stealing several items, and multiple witnesses said that the suspects had fled southbound on Telegraph Road, noting that their vehicle had heavy front-end damage.

The names of those arrested will not be released until arraignment, and they’ll remain in custody pending a review of their report from the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
