Thousands stolen with cell phone hack

A Bloomfield Township resident had $204,024.15 worth of Bitcoin withdrawn from his Coinbase account after his cell phone had been hacked through a SIM swap.


The resident made the report to Bloomfield Township police on Tuesday, May 9.


Police reported the case is currently under investigation.
