Thousands taken when vehicle stolen from home

A vehicles was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 1400 block of Washington Boulevard, according to Birmingham police who responded about 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 23.


The residents, a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, said their vehicle was taken from their driveway overnight. In it were belongings valued at more than $1,800 and $1,100 cash.


Police say an investigation is ongoing.
