Three arrested for fighting in Birmingham

Three people were arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 19, after getting in a fight at N. Old Woodward and Oakland avenues in Birmingham that sent one man to the hospital with injuries.

Birmingham police responded about 1:54 a.m. to the intersection of Oakland and Old Woodward where a fight was taking place. Police said five individuals were talking near the intersection when one of them began punching and pushing one of the others, eventually knocking him unconscious. Police said the other individuals then began fighting amongst themselves until police arrived and broke up the fight.

The Birmingham Fire Department responded and transported the injured man to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. The Beverly Hills Police Department assisted at the scene.
