Three different Birmingham residents reported items stolen from their cars between midnight and 2 a.m. on Monday, September 1, at three separate locations.

According to the Birmingham police report, each victim said their cars had been left unlocked overnight, the cars were looked through and valuable items were missing. Birmingham police say in all three instances, the car registration and insurance were found on the ground near the car.

Police say witnesses reportedly identified two suspects involved, and an investigation is ongoing.
