Three suspects flee after theft from vehicle

After a Birmingham police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the apartment complex near Southfield Road and Norfolk Street on Tuesday, November 8, three suspicious vehicles fled the scene without stopping.

The officer scanned the parking lot where the vehicles were located and identified a car with its doors and center console open. The vehicle owner, a 38-year-old resident, reported that she left her vehicle unlocked and multiple items were missing.

Birmingham police report there are no witnesses at this time. They are continuing to investigate.
