Tires slashed on cars parked on Woodward

Two individuals working at a local business on the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue in Birmingham reported that their tires had been slashed and their fuel doors were opened around 2 p.m. on Monday, July 10, after returning to their cars.

Witnesses reported seeing a man wearing a brown bandana, white shirt and white pants loitering around the building. According to Birmingham police, the suspect is unknown at the moment, but an investigation is underway.

Birmingham Police Chief Scott Grewe additionally confirmed the incident is not affiliated with other reports of deflated tires related to a climate activist group that took place over the weekend.
