Tools stolen from Birmingham construction site

Roughly $500 worth of tools were taken from a construction site near S. Adams Road and Haynes Street in Birmingham on Thursday, August 31, around 9 a.m.

The foreman at the construction site informed police that he noticed several tools were gone that morning. He reportedly saw a stranger walking through the site the day before and told police he believed he believed that individual was the thief

According to police, the same suspect came back to the site the next day but fled after construction workers confronted him.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
