Sometime during the night of Friday, May 9, several tools were stolen from a building construction site in Birmingham where a contracting company was working.

An employee of the company reported the theft to Birmingham police saying it couldn’t be confirmed if the site had been locked, but there was damage around the padlock of the area when the crew noticed the theft.

The stolen tools are reportedly worth over $1,500. Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
