The manager of The Townsend Hotel’s restaurant, Rugby Grille, located at 100 Townsend Street in Birmingham, allegedly attacked a former employee on Tuesday, March 3, while forcing him out of the hotel’s restaurant.

According to the police report, the former employee said he got into an argument with the manager after learning he had been fired. The manager reportedly told the employee to leave numerous times during the argument, and when he didn’t, he allegedly grabbed him, threw him out of the restaurant, leading the two to wrestle before the employee eventually left.

The manager was given a citation for assault and battery, but in a turn of events, Birmingham police also arrested the former employee after finding out he had an outstanding warrant through the Royal Oak Police Department., according to the police report.
